Here’s How to Transition Your Skincare Routine from Winter to Spring
The temperatures are starting to rise as we approach Daylight Saving Time this weekend. It’s time to transition your skincare routine from winter to spring. If you spent this winter layering serums, balms and oils, warmer air and increased humidity means your skin is about to be in for a shock. Here are three tips on getting healthy, gorgeous skin just in time for summer.

1) Swap your moisturizer for something a little lighter. Our skin tends to hold more water in the spring and summer so that you won’t need as much protection. While SPF 30 is fine in the winter, it’s important to use separate sunscreen from your lotion and makeup of at least SPF 50.
2) Exfoliating is a necessity. Get that dead skin off and unblock pores with a gentle exfoliating cleanser rather than with harsh scrubs. A formula with a small amount of glycolic acid will do the trick.
3) Throw out anything that is six months old. Old products can host a buildup of bacteria which leads to clogged pores and dull skin. Don’t forget to wash those makeup brushes at least once a week with regular hand soap and dry them with a blow-dryer.
