Botox for Excessive Sweating

Is your deodorant just not cutting it? Is excessive sweating causing you embarrassment and physical discomfort? Do your armpits or palms of your hands continuously sweat with no stopping in sight? Botox may be your answer.
Botox is known for keeping lines and wrinkles away, but it can also help you stay dry and stop your excessive sweating. Botox treatment for sweating is minimally invasive, long-lasting and effective for most patients. Each procedure consists of a few injections and takes around 5-10 minutes per armpit and a little longer for each palm. Side effects are rare and generally mild. While results last up to 6 months, they will last longer with subsequent treatments.
Botox is approved by the FDA for treating excessive sweating, clinically known as hyperhidrosis. While many are concerned the treatment causes the sweat to back up, it doesn’t. Instead, it works by interrupting the nerve signals that stimulate overproduction of perspiration.
